M62 Specs

Is there any reason why the specs on the M62 approx J27/28 are not included in the database? There is a speed limit of 50 each way and there are signs saying average speed cameras, but I can't remember seeing any cameras going east despite the signs. There are definitely specs on the west bound side, though judging by today you were lucky to be doing 5mph in places it was that bad!!

Yes, there is a reason. They are awaiting verification. There are some eastbound and westbound, and if your post is correct about none on the eastbound track, it emphasises the need for verification

Thanks for the reply. I was just surprised that on such a busy main route that these cameras had not been reported loads of times and thus verified. I suspect they must have been up some time as some if not all are mounted on concrete blocks. It was that busy I couldn't see them properly. Thankfully I won't be up that road for some time!!

a few days ago when i last checked they were marked with signs saying "not in use"

has this now changed? and are you referring to the stretch by Leeds?

No I did not report the specs as I was not sure of their exact position and did not want to give incorrect sitings. I am sure there are people who travel this route on a regular basis who could report the positions accurately.
The general signage seemed very haphazard with the east bound carriageway having average speed camera signs but no cameras in the 50 limit. The west bound side had both signs and cameras. Neither side had an end of limit sign that I saw, so you were left wondering if you were still in the 50 limit.

I was about to report these today, west bound (the only way I travelled) they start at the exit slip on jnc 28 and finish on the entry slip on jnc27 they came live on 28th Sept and are listed as being on until WINTER 2013!!!!!!!!!!!

There are cameras on the eastbound side, they start about 1/2 mile before the exit slip at jnc 27 and finish just after the enrty slip at 28, cant confirm the east bound is live.

Sorry, I dont know I changed jobs at the start of this month so I no longer teravel that route
