I shall need to hard reset my PDA in a few days time. Does anyone know if I will have o reactivate my copy of TTN3?

It depends whether or not you reinstall from the same PC as the same user as you originally installed.
However, there's no problem reactivating the same device if it proves necessary. Activating a device that has been activated before with the same Product Code doesn't change the time until you can activate another device, and you can reactivate an existing device even when you can't activate a new device with that Product Code.

Robin,
I have re-installed both TTN2 and TTN3 at least 3 times each in the last 6 weeks or so without having to re-activate once. When you get to the end of the installation and you are asked if you want to go on-line just click "X" for NO. I am installing from the same PC to the same Ipaq each time.
