OK browsed the forum for answers not found what I need

We USED to used Navigator on my PDA (started on version 2 ended on 7 when TT pulled the plug)

SO SWMBO decided to buy a Start 2 (European Mapping)

This is when I had problems no expansion so when the map was updated could only load PART of the Europe maps not the "advertised" whole of Europe so lost Germany etc.

Here are 2 episodes of stupidity

Route M1 (J29) M25 M20 to Folkestone which is M20 J12
at 4 places on the M1 - 2 on the M25 - 1 on the M20 the Tom Tom routed us OFF the Motorway to rejoin at the same junction (yes off the slip road and immediately back on the slip road) and then wanted us to leave the M20 at J13 which whilst is SHORTER it is not faster as it is a speed restricted route compared to the other one

WE have just spent a week in North Yorkshire not difficult for the machine you would imagine. NOT MUCH
By map one day I plotted a route following A roads and dual carriageways from Reighton (just South of Filey) to York
Tom Tom on the other hand decided that the FASTEST Route was cross country by B roads. Now just for the record we did the TT route out and MINE back we plotted both routes and my route took 47 minutes whilst TT's was 1hour and 30min
Remember TT said Fastest Route ( in fact I can't find a sub menu to change shortest/fastest/ sectional
there are others from this week but just more of the same like driving to Scarborough from Filey via Bridlington ??????????

Now the question is are the more expensive larger models as bad or do they actually work because I am going to reset to factory and go back to Argos
thinking of replacing it with a better model as this one is definitely daft

Compared to Navigator this version of TomTom is doing my head in by it's user unfriendliness and stupid routing.
