Look like travellers with the beacon on top. They'll go to extraordinary lengths to get the cable off those railways!

I can't quite see how the police can say they're baffled (i.e. "North Wales Police confirmed they were called to the incident but currently have no more details.")
Has no-one told them that cars tend to have various "special numbers" on them that might help? Laughing

I think they've finally cottoned on to that ... a person has been arrested and charged with an offence (something on the lines) of driving on 'common land'

I'm not advocating this is something everyone should go and try but there is a lot of fuss being made about driving a vehicle 'up Snowdon', and although the emergency services are saying that they would not attempt the drive my own experience of off-roading with Landrovers is that they could safely achieve the climb, in the right hands; and I have previously walked up Snowdon.

I can actually see Snowdon from where I'm typing this, might just go round and have look!

It appears it is on someone's "50 things to do before he dies" list.

So it's alright to take your Grand Piano up there but taking your car is a complete no no. Wink
