I use Google Maps on Android, HTC One X
on 7/2/14 I drove from Sheffield to Wellingborough

When I joine the M1 at Junction 29 I was in an average speed chech zone,
This ended just two miles doen thw road, How3ever I was getting the overspeed warning all the way along M1 to where a new average speed check started close to junction 19, a distance of approximately 55 miles

I then continued along the A14 where the average speed check zone ended after about 1 mile, again I was getting overspeed warnings all the way along the A14 to where I left at Junction 9 (20 miles)

I have also has a similar problem when leaving the M1 and joining the M62 west bound.

This problem seems to be still current, and I would suggest needs a fix.

I did not know untilreading this thread that tapping the warning would silence the warnings.

Surely there is an ongoing problem that needs fixing regarding UK Averaqge speed checks.

Also there appears to be a need for more readily available information on how to manage these warnings.

Can you confirm that you are using the CamerAlett (CA) app as you said you were using Google maps.
I travelled the A14 using CA on android a couple of weeks ago, and they worked perfectly both ways.
Does not the CA manual help?

I do use the Camera Alert app
Which is running in the background.

I ca aso confirm that on the return Journey I just had CA running, Not Google maps

on A14 the Average spped check start as you approach the M1/M6 junction.
I went up the M1 North where the zone ends shortly after you leaeve the on slip. The warning continued for a few miles.

I then came out of Car mode which closed down CA, restarted Car mode which restarts CA - this cancelled the warnings.

My initial thoughts were *that there must be a problem in the END specs camera in the download* but, as all the problems are on major roads, if there were such a problem, these forums would be littered with complaints from disgruntled users.

As it's not, I suggest that it may be a glitch with your system and that a cache clear out or even an app remove and re/install may be in order.

Just guessing though. It-s what I would try first. Smile

OK, SPECS 161341 is now marked as an 'end' camera (that's the specs that ended 2 miles down the road from J29)

I've added an 'exit' marker onto the A14 for those turning off of the M1 leaving the specs.

Also added exit markers to the M62 for coming of the M1.

M1 north (just off the A14) now correctly marked as END camera.

I think that's everything :D

Thanks for the update,

CA is such a great product when things are not right it can be annoying.

but another good thing is the speed with which fixes are made.

Thanks guys
