Though TT home lets me update when I try to operate My Go I get message about error as below, and TT Home tries to d/load missing TOC file.

However it never completes that task; any clues.
Laptop is using XP, and my other VISTA ones run OK:

What were you trying to download? A new map? If so, do you find the map in compressed format here:
c:\documents and settings\yourname\my documents\TomTom\Home\Downloads\Complete\Maps\

If so, you can install the map without using Home. See here:

No map d/load, it's just making "Operate My Go" work.

Normally, it's a .dll file that is needed to be downloaded to get the emulator to work. If that gets downloaded, it might work without the .toc (table of contents) file?

Andy thanks; any idea of name as I guess it'll be in my back up files? Question

I'm not SURE of a name, as I've never noticed one being displayed as it's downloading.

But I THINK the emulator .dlls are stored here (on Win XP anyway):
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\p9rcf8vf.default\extensions

In the extensions folder are several sub-folders called "Navcore.9.058.568435@tomtom.com", "Navcore.9.054.531676@tomtom.com" etc. which I assume are the downloads for each successive software version.

In each of those folders is a bunch of about 14 files. E.g. in the v9.058 folder there are:

9-058-568435-1.dll
chrome.manifest
data.chk
data_3d.chk
data_im1.chk
data_im2.chk
data_is1.chk
data_is2.chk
data_lim.chk
data_lis.chk
data_ra.chk
data_sp.chk
data_ts.chk
install.rdf

Not sure if that's going to be any help to you at all, but there it is! Laughing

The default folder on your unit will likely have a different number than the one on Andy's machine. Otherwise, I think his info is dead on! Laughing
