on the advice from here I got a Go 750 Live refurbished from TomTom, ordered Tuesday evening, arrived 11:00 Friday morning direct from TomTom for £129.99 delivered all in.
Very happy, much nicer than my old one v1 !
just got it all working with the speedcams from the best speed camera website in the world
PGPSW :0)
but
I looked for the voice folder to pop in my yoda voice
and there is no voice folder
just a LoquendoTTS folder with loads of files and folders in.
My Q is
Where do I go to drop in my Yoda .chk & .bmp file ?
Cheers |

Connect it to your computer and using Windows Explorer right click the drive letter associated with the device, choose Create New/ Folder, name the folder "voices" (without the "" but MUST be all lowercase)
Put the Yoda files in to the newly created "voices" folder, thats the chk, vif and bmp the voice should now be selectable from within the Change Preferences/ Manage Voces/ Switch Voice option - Mike |

What an weird coincidence...
For an entirely different reason, earlier today I looked back at my "out of the box" or "day 1" backup of my Go950 and noticed there was no "voices" folder on it.
"Very odd" I thought....
So they were sold with no "real" voices on them at all?
I must have put a voices folder and some voices on there pretty quick, because it was there on my next backup! _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
