PGPSW Ogg File

When I downloaded and installed the latest camera database I chose to install an optional voice pack, mistakenly thinking it was the full Liz pack with spoken speeds etc. I now have both sets of audible warnings, firstly the Liz with speed limit followed by the Ogg Voice Pack with female and chime. How do I remove the latter?

We no longer support the Liz and other voice alerts.

Our official voice alerts (available with and without chimes) are available via the speed camera download page.

It should;t be possible to have more than one voice installed as they share the same names as the speed camera files themselves so I don't quite understand how you could have two different ones installed?

Hi Darren, thanks for the reply. If I remove all the PGPSW camera files from the map would that also remove the Voice Pack? If so I should then be able to re-install the Camera database minus the voice pack? Yes? No?

I just copied over the Liz Ogg files from my computer and that is how I ended with two sets of warnings. My concern was that the new Voice Pack was sounding at around 100 yards from the cameras; can this be adjusted for speed/distance as per the old Liz files?

but related. On the instruction page for the Go 720, is a chart showing the distances to set the warnings for 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 seconds, but there's no indication as to which should be used.

I've used 20 seconds as it's in the middle. What delay does other people use please?

I always set mine up for 20mph - 300yards, 30mph - 400 yards, 40mph - 500 yards etc up to 70mph - 800 yards. I believe this equates to around 22 seconds warning.

A popular and easy to remember factor is multiply the mph by 10 for yards, so 20mph is 200 yds, 30mph 300yds and so on. Those give very close to 20 seconds. Some people double the distances for mobile camera warnings, which can have a range of 1000 yds easily enough if there's the visibility.

But I have all mine set at 300 yards. Very Happy

Because it's the default so I don't have to think about it and I don't speed anyway, so it just means that Liz chats to me every time she and I come across a camera. Laughing
