Sending Routes to Nuvi 255WT

Hi All,

I have the 255WT and I can transfer routes or journeys I have made to Mapsource but cannot send routes and waypoints from Mapsource to the 255.

I have a SD card in the 255 and I can find the transfered file, it is downloaded as a GPX file, as the device was given to me I don't have a manual but have looked on the Garmin website but it doesn't give a clear answer to the question if the 255 can download as well as upload journeys to Mapsource, so I would be grateful if another owner of the 255 could answer the question.

Your 255 can't store routes, so you can't download them

Well that's not quite true, you can but your nuvi can't read them so there's no point in doing so

Yes, but you're not storing the route, just the waypoints. FYI mapsource WILL send waypoints to your nuvi and they too will appear as favourites
