Just added CoPilot Live Premium to my iPhone 4 and will do a comparison with the latest TomTom Maps on my TTG 520T when I next do a London or Scotland trip…Couldn't resist the bargain price of £14.99….. Rolling Eyes

TomTom use HD Traffic which is their own product.

ALK use NAVTEQ's Traffic Data service.

I've been using Premium on iPhone for some weeks now and it works very well. Works fine under iOS5 Beta too unlike TomTom which has some issues at present.

I'm using CP8 on a 3GS with CamAlert as a separate program as I didn't think sound alert GPSWorld cam POIs could be added. Is the IPhone version now the same as Android and I could have been importing GPSWorld cams like I used to on my old PDA TomTom? And is this same integration possible on Premium? Only talk here so far is Android (because of earlier release) but I can't find anything on iPhone forum. Cheers, Andrew

^^ re. my iPhone question above, checking site's Installation Guides shows it only works for Jailbroken iPhones, got my hopes up there!! I guess the same with CoPilot Premium? If so, is there any iPhone GPS software that allows full integration of PocketWorld database without having to run CamAlert underneath?

No. That is a limitation of iOS at present.

I like the user interface on CoPilot 8 but hated the map view with roads looked washed out - any improvement on this apsect? Sygic Mobile Maps 10 was much better in terms of maps but the user interface was very buggy.

So is the workaround with an iPhone 4 to use CoPilot Live Premium and have CamerAlert running in the bakground?

Yes but that's not a 'workaround'. That is one of the main modes CamerAlert was designed for!

The maps seem old to me..the 'new' Weymouth Relief Road is missing from CoPilot but has been on TomTom for the last two updates..Not helpful for all the Olympic sailors next year..!!

I cant get the PGPSW cams to work on CP Premium (v9) at all.
I was experiencing same issues reported above. If i copy the files over to either Save folder when i restart the app it was offering me to edit the New POI Set which fails.
I reinstalled the whole app and left the CP database in there and copied the PGSW files again.
I got the integrating POIs message, which disappeared v quickly.
I removed the CP database and restarted, but then that meant that the 'Safety Camera' POI set was not enabled, and there was no way to display the safety camera POIs.

Also on going back into the ALK folder the PGPSW files are all gone (apart from the png files).

Please can someone who has this working explain where im going wrong Smile

I have managed to get some of my POI's loaded onto my iPhone 4 by using DiskAid. Have also added PGPSW Cameras but haven't done a road test yet to see if the warnings sound..
Like willton, any suggestions and help will be much appreciated..

The POI's can also be added into CoPilot Live Premium via iTunes apparently !!
