how do i delete a route

hi

just getting to know my way around my new tom tom xxl, i have just installed the gps speed cameras with voice and well pleased

But what is bugging me is i have been messing around planning routes and now i have routes that i want to keep and routes that i want to delete however when i go to the routes that have previously been planned or used it does not give the option to delete them one by one

I get tthe screen which has RECENT DESTINATION with flashing curser at the top

then a list of all the routes used or planned

then accross the bottom the three buttons BACK DELETE FIND

however if i press the delete button it asks me if i want to delete all recent destinations and i cannot place anything into the flashing cursur at the top of the screen to see what happens

any suggestions please

You can't pick and choose which ones to delete its all or nothing from that screen, to be honest I would suggest you look at creating a custom POI file and put that on the device containing all the destinations you want - Mike

Best to think of that screen as exactly what it says... your recent destinations. It saves the last few screens-worth and older ones drop off the bottom.

If you have destinations you want to use over and over again, save them as Favourites or better still as entries in a new POI category (because that is easier to transfer to another unit if you need to).

One tip is to call your new POI category "_MyFavs" (or whatever you prefer) with an underscore at the front. That way it will appear at the top of the alphabetical list of POIs when you go to select it.
