The only thing that could make this website better would be a live chat feature (like in the Yahoo groups) ... erm, thats it.

I did look at a live chat facility about 8-12 months ago. The main problem was is they use even more amounts of processing power and ram than a forum uses, which would mean it would have to be housed on a seperate server. You can utilise other off-site commercial chat apps but they don't really allow you to build them into your site. |

dave at truck net one of the members lets them use his bravenet chat room as the trucknet chat and at the pda (proffesional drivers association they use msn groups chat facility maybe thats the way to go _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

Ideally we really wanted a system where once you're logged in once to the forum and people can see you're active in the forum we wanted to integrate a chat system into this, and unfortunately it's not possible to easily do this.
The main danger using a third party product like Bravenet or MSN is that everyone has to go to that site on mass to start chatting which although it will work, defeats the object a little. |
