TT XXL 540S help

hello to all
beside my xxl550T i have a xxl540S that when i connect it to home then you have to hit connect to computer on the gps screen when i click connect the screen goes snowy white even though it connects to home
the screen stays snowy white once in a while you can see portions of the computer icon on the gps screen but not fully clear any help or guidance will be more than appreciated thanks
