Followed Garmin's instructions (start with screen touched in lower rhs and follow on screen instructions), reinstalled software and updates and deleted older PGPS files. It now works. Not had this problem with my 660.

Problem back again so repeated above. We'll see if it works consistently.

Turns out that it remained an intermittent problem. So I use PGPSW POI on my 660 and Garmin POI for the 1490. I tried all sorts of fixes including the above, deleting old files, turning Garmin or custom POI off/on. So if you find a permanent fix let me know!

Had that problem with mine but, after a few firmware updates it rarely does freezes, I find if I turn off the speed camera warnings it doesn't do it at all.
