|
|
Went to use my tt 750 the other day and found that when i select navigate to a postcode, street and house no. or city centre it freezes then restarts.
It works ok (so far) if I select nav2 a point on map or a favourite.
The last time used was in august and all was working fine when I used it caravaning through France and when I came home.
I'm sure I have updated map since then and other updates so not sure what has caused this fault. I have tried the adding a favourite trick in home.
Any help would gratefully accepted.
JOHN.

First thing to do is to restore from a backup if you have one
(if not you REALLY need to make one - do it now to protect your maps and then do another one once you've got it working properly)
Next step would be to re-install the software. Instructions for that are in the forum FAQs at the top of the index page for this section.
One thought... Are you using a "real" voice for navigation and a "computer" voice for warnings etc? That was known to cause re-boots a while back. |

Thank you Andy, I will try restore tomorrow but my most recent back up was with home. Just in case I will make an explorer back up first (my last one of these was in march).
For the record I am using a computer voice. |

I had this problem. Try deleting your recent destinations either through the device menu or using the emulator in TomTom Home. |

BTW- Andy, I started a thread on this awhile ago. I should of concluded that this must of been fixed by a map or app. update as this now works fine too-
i.e- I can now use a recorded voice and computer voice(for warnings etc) at the same time.

Yes, I knew it had been fixed on the latest app. version, but being stupid I didn't read your post fully, so thought you hadn't said which version you were running! |

|

I've paid for map updates but everytime I install one there are problems. (Usually Fuel Prices - but not this time!!) No, this time it was the Nav to/Address/Street name & number or City Centre, etc.
After reading forums by simply deleting Recent Destinations all is now well as this action re-write the MapSettings.cfg to align withthe new map.
If I can do it, why can't TomTom make this happen automatically as part of the map install process? |

This happened to me after the latest map update. It turned out that the 750 thought that it was in Lithuania
Reset country to UK and all was well. Saved a reinstall of the software. _________________ GO 750 Live HD Traffic, Map Europe 930, Navcore 9.510 |
