Hello,
Could you tell me if it's possible to import my own speedcam database?
What I mean is that for the moment there are around 200 speedcams for Belgium and in another forum there are around 2000 speedcams. samething for France.
Unfortunately, I can't forward the database (policies of the forum ;-))
Many thanks. |

No, only our database.
If you travel there a lot then you could easily submit the new cameras using CamerAlert and probably bag yourself a free lifetime subscription at the same time?
That's how the UK data got to it's current high level of accuracy.

See here. No catches, use the app to report cameras and if we accept your report, then you get a Lifetime Sub.
There are a few conditions but nothing unusual. _________________ Darren Griffin |

hello,
quick question on the speedcam submission. For the direction (arrow) is it the traffic direction or how the speedcam flashes?
In Belgium, most of the time (99%) the cops flashes from behind and in UK probably from thr front. How the program will notify me the correct speedcam (the one from the right face the back of the car and not the one on the left facing me)?
I don't know if it's clear what I'm trying to ask :p |

As you say, some cameras photograph the front of the vehicle, others the back. The direction arrow is defined as The direction you would have to be travelling to get caught by the camera.
Also consider if the camera is reversible, eg a Gatso in the middle of the road that can be turned around. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Great thanks.
and if there are 2 cams but not a reversible cam, I suppose it's best to have 2 differents cams.
Also, yesterday I added some cams but I can't see them on the map to add the other direction cams. Is this normal? |

Yes please! If there are two speed cameras at the same location, please submit two different sightings - one for each direction.
The inputting of submitted cameras into the database is done manually, this ensures accuracy. You should be able to see your own submissions after a day or two. Once they have been verified and they have been included in the database/download, everybody can see them. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

you should be able to see yours on the submission map as i've processed them up to about 4pm friday. they will show as 'square' icons for now until confirmed.
hope that helps?
