Hi

Anyone had an good experience with Tom Tom Live services, in particular the weather?

Reason I ask is because it's reading out last Thursdays weather and not todays. When you scroll down the 5 day forecast listing, Thursday is highlighted as current weather.

Anyone ever seen this before?

The date and time are being kept correct with the GPS s I can't manually change or check. It shows as London 17.05 for example. No date as such to look at.

Not a biggie problem I know but a bit pants!

Cheers

Andy

Thanks for that.

Not sure how it happened (for next time Confused ) but it's showing correctly now.

Only had it connected to MyTomTom, unless it updates Live services without telling you. Hmmm.

Anyway, all is well.

Is it still saying the windspeed is 1mph?

It was doing that for months.

Hi

I've not got the device in front of me right now but IIRC, it doesn't display or tell you the wind speed. Mentions cloudy etc then low and high temps. Please correct me though.

It seems to be behaving now. TBH, it's just a nice little 'extra' but not reliable enough for forecasts on a journey. I rely on my HTC Desire for that.

Cheers

I just use the view out of the windscreen:

Sun Shade deployed = driving in to the Sun, nice day.

Wiper on intermittent = Light Rain.

Wipers on speed 1 = Persistant Rain.

Wipers on speed 2 = Heavy rain.

Fog lights on = I would expect you guessed that one, but why do so many people put them on in rain.........

I am not too sure I want or need weather as a function on a Nav unit, lets face it if the conditions are that bad I wouldn't make the trip, that decision is made before I get in the car and isn't based on anything the Nav unit offers in way of information - Mike

Absolutely! I tend to use the forecast on TV and only use the app on my phone if away for an duration.

It sounds like it's an unreliable application by the sounds of things anyway.

Im just glad the traffice service is more reliable! Not sure if I'd renew the sub though. I tend to check Highways Agency website before travelling and then use TP on my car stereo.

Thanks for input chaps!

Consider yourself corrected! Laughing

It's in thetext on the right rather then the coloured chart on the left.

When you tap on the different days, the text on the right changes.

It was stuck on 1mph for months, but I thought it had been fixed.
Mine is still showing 1mph for the next five days in London though, and also for the next 5 days in Bergen on the Norwegian coast!
