Hi All
My present TomTom which is an original TomTom One V1 no longe fits the image of my new car , so I am after a new one.
The one I am eyeing is Via Live 120. Is there anyone out there who has got one? Can you please tell me whether the Speed Camera files from PocketGPSWorld will work OK? Also will the ogg voice files work as well ?
Many thanks.... |

You can now add PGPSW cameras and 'type in' your own verbal warnings. e.g. Gatso - Ching - Ching. I've used 'Consolidated' cameras, if you use the other file it will take some time to set up each speed for each camera, but once done you won't have to do it again, just update the cameras each week. Same with bmp's, only need to do it once.
Best to disable all TT cameras except SPECS as you can use the built in 'nag' if overspeeding.
There were a lot of negatives when it first appeared but TT are gradually getting their act together. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

I thought that TT SPECS data was not particularly accurate, and you'd get warnings for long-gone SPECS set-ups? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

Disable TT SPECS you only get the bing/bong, or 'typed in' verbal warning for each camera along the route. TT may not have all the SPECS cameras but where they do you get 'overspeed' warning. In fact it appears it's the PGPSW data triggering the verbal warning, although I can't be certain at the moment.
I couldn't find any other way of doing it so if someone has a better idea I'll try that. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
