Long story short, thieving scum has my old 930 away needed another device sharpish and plumped for the 1000 thinking as this was the latest offering this would be a wise move. Tried other makes in the past and always found the TT was miles better and dead easy to use, at least so I thought... Rolling Eyes

Whilst the 1000 is great in lots of depts. I want to change that irritating womans voice back to my Darth asap. and whilst I'm there I want to change the car image as well.

Now I've tried searching but cannot find any up to date info or have I bought a dud?

Help will gratefully appreciated Wink

Hi Supercue

I bought an GO 1000 UK yesterday, upgrading from 530. Sorry to say but very limited updates from TT at present.

3rd POI's are supported at last, so at least can use my subscription. Only downside is I can't use the custom .ogg files for alerts. In time I'm sure these things will become available, as well as Voices etc.

Check this webpage regularly for updates :

Cheers,

Andy

No probs mate.

TBH, I'm just really pleased with the fundamental stuff of navigating reliably.

The actual device is spot on for build quality and I like the 'capacitive' touch screen being added to Satnav. Whole new GUI too which is nice!

Don't get me wrong, the customization is important to me but at least there is an solid platform to build on.

Hopefully, this time next week we'll have the latest maps and postcode database.

Agreed and the Blue-tooth phone connectivity is clear as a bell whereas my 930 was crap.

Overall I'm very pleased but will be even happier when the niggles are ironed out.
