TomTom Customer Service - praise!

I have read lots of bad stories of TT's support, and I am not suggesting they were unjustified, but they were superb recently after my stolen TT1v2 was recovered but with the maps corrupted/deactivated somehow.

As I never expected to get it back, I had thrown away the box, accessories, and owners card, but thankfully I was able to prove I owned the device, and they got it working again for me with new maps.

It is still a question of getting to a person willing to help, but I had already bought a replacement TT so it was done just to keep an (old) customer happy.

It is nice to hear of good service! Our human nature currently dictates a moan about everything that goes wrong but not so much about what goes right. So, if you read forums, such as this one, you would think maybe that nothing is right about Satnavs, whereas there are many many satisfied customers around. Most of the time, I am one of them. Thanks for restoring the balance (a little).
