Just cleared cache closed program and switched off and on again and still nothing, no updates ready.
Do those numbers look right?

I'm doing a little checking for you.....will come back later if I can find a source to resolve you problem.

Meanwhile, I have tried to upload the UK Consolidated speed cam files, but MyTT reports that there is insufficient room on the device - even for one single ov2 file. I don't think there is any way of finding out what the device capacity/installed size is, so for the moment, I'm stuck. Sad

You may have tried this already, but if not -

Reset your TomTom (hold unit drums sound)

Re-connect to computer and open MyTomTom

Clear Cache and Save Settings

Then click on the MyTomTom button - takes you to the webpage and should offer a download from there which will kick your unit to updating

Summat wrong with yours then. Crying or Very sad

I've got the consolidated set, plus a few other POI files on the Go 1000 without running out of room.
As you say, no way to tell exactly HOW MUCH space there is, but no [roblem so far here.

Ha Ha! Good thinking, that man! Wink

BTW I've now replaced the consolidated sets with the full speed-zoned (minus the pMobiles) and all the camera verifiers files.
For me that's 81 files individually added and its VERY boring to do!

..... and that's BEFORE setting up any warning voices! On Fire

Well sadly no-one's post has helped me update my unit, it continues to claim it's up-to-date.

However, playing with the unit I did seem to put in into some kind of Diagnostic mode, where it's internal configuration was shown. If anyone is interested, switch off the unit, and then switch it back on - but don't release the power button. You should get the Tomtom startup screen and drums and initially the map will be displayed. Continue to hold the power button and eventually you'll get a text-based screen showing the internal configuration.

Can't seem to do anything at that point. Maybe of interest to someone.

Regards

Iain

Thanks Iain, Go 1000 users will be interested to see that.

(but actually it's nothing new. That diagnostics screen has been there on every TomTom since the Classic! Laughing )

One other thing... If you have a problem please make sure you always state all the relevant facts:
Model number
Software version number
Home3 / My TomTom version number.

No promises, but it might show up an obvious problem.

Good point. For reference:

Model number : GO LIVE 1000
Software version number : 10.022.574650.29 (0) (3012, 13/9/2010)
My TomTom version number : 3.0.1.221

Unit never detected the Janaury update to 10.024, and doesn't detect today's update.

Cache cleared, MyTomTom reinstalled (complete with ensuring folders etc were deleted prior to reinstallation).

Regards

Iain

@ ICHAPMAN

Home version sounds right, but the latest version of Navecore listed on TT's website (here) for the GO 1000 and GO LIVE 1000 is v10.024

You could try giving TT customer services a ring and ask them to "push" the latest software to your device. You'll need the serial number.

(P.S. can someone who's got POIs working confirm that v10.024 *is* the version they have (I'm on a different one for different reasons))

My home version looks older than Iain's, could that be down to me using a mac? Iain's software is same as mine and looks like we are having the same problems. I will try resetting the unit and clearing the cache tomorrow and see if it makes a difference

@ mjdj1689

You should have delete (actually "Remove") buttons as well, if you've added any POIs

You should have something like GeePees screen here
