I generally run CamerAlert in the foreground as I usually have a SatNav on the dashboard when I'm driving. However, I prefer to have the List view (instead of map) displayed on CamerAlert especially at night.

Now that the latest versions of Google Maps do allow caching (10 mile radius I believe) will this be incorporated? |

We don't use Google Maps as such. We use the Maps part of the Android and iOS SDK's. These are different to the actual maps apps. It is basically a bunch of things we can do that relate to maps - while they have the Google logo in the corner that simply says we are using Google's data - we do not use, nor have access to, the main Google Maps app(s).

As MaFt says, there is an important distinction between Google's Maps and Google's Navigation apps. It is the latter that has added caching, we use the former. _________________ Darren Griffin |
