Although the hint is that you should allow SatSync to filter your route points when you download them I have had my option set to not filter, for as long as I can remember.
However for the last few weeks, importing .map files from the A10 onto my PC they appear to have been filtered.
Has anyone else noticed this? If so has anyone a solution? _________________ LostMike

I'm wondering if you have got this right.
You don't import .map files onto your PC you export them from the A10 to the PC.
There is no option to filter option for exporting the file from A10 to PC.
The option for filtering is when you import from the PC into the A10.
When a trail is converted to a track you get the .map file and the _raw.gpx file. The .map file is a filtered file of your route and has always been. If you want an unfilterd route you need to export the raw.gpx file.

Good point Gibbo10,
I had missed the point about the filter being to save the A10 labouring.
However the reason for the query remains. I have noticed that in the last few weeks the .gpx files created from my saved .map files seem to be far leaner in points than they used to be. Has anyone else noticed this and if so can you suggest any explanations. _________________ LostMike

I haven't noticed them being any leaner personally, but they have always been lean intentionally.
What problems does the additional leaness that you have noticed cause you? _________________ Satmap A10. Platform 09.02.21, Software version 1.50 Satsync 1.50

No problems that I am aware of. I am just puzzled that whereas I used to filter down my saved routes on my PC after editing to remove random wanders off the path by me, I now seem to get a more compact set of data to start with. So there appears to have been a change. What I am wondering is; is this just something which is effecting me; why is it occurring; what impacts may it have; and, can I change it back if I want to?
So - no obvious problems and no apparent need to rush to get it "fixed". _________________ LostMike
