Hello

I have a Mac which synchs with my Go 740. I can download the speedcamera database and unzip it but cant then do the next step and install on the device. Can someone give me an idiot's guide? Thank you in advance

You copy them across into the map folder on the 740 using Finder. The map folder is the folder bearing the name of your map, e.g. Western & Central Europe (it is NOT the folder called maps).

Having copied them across, you then activate them on the 740. (Change preferences, manage POIs)

The only difference between methods is in Windows you use Explorer and in Mac you use Finder. Either way, installation guide is linked on the download page. Using Finder to copy the files across into the map folder, you'll follow the instructions from about item 4.

Where are you struggling? Copying files using Finder is the same process as Explorer on a PC?

Once you have the speed camera database files downloaded and unzipped, just shift-click the first and last file to multi-select the lot and then drag and drop into the correct folder on your TomTom using Finder.

We also recommend you download and install the free Unarchiver which is a much better (and free) unzipping app than the built-in one or the old favourite, Stuffit.
