No it tells me there are cameras etc but on both sides of road so if its a dual carraigway etc and the camera is only pointing in one direction why does it warn you if you are travelling the oppisite way |

It'd help if you could clarify what device you are using?
Our CamerAlert app supports directional alerts but most satnavs don't. We can only work with the features that satnav apps offer.

If you mean the Android or iOS app then it supports directional alerts. Make sure you have not accidentally turned the feature off:
Android:
- Menu - Settings - Advanced settings - Ignore direction data [make sure it is NOT ticked]
iOS:
- Settings - Sound warnings - Ignore direction data [make sure this is OFF]

In that case it will only do a directional alert, on a dual carriageway, if you have a route set and the Warn only if POI is on route setting ticked.

In which case that is a limitation of TomTom's POI support.
The only way you can have directional data is if you enable the 'warn when on route' option when you set-up POI alerts. The downside being that alerts will then only take place when you have a route planned.

But if I use my Snooper that I wanted to sell it only warns me when on my side of road or if its live on bothsides so perhaps need to stay with that |

What do you want me to say? It's a TomTom limitation, we can't do much about it.
Yes, Snooper may have directional alerts but their data sucks. So do you want good data or alerts for cameras that may not affect you?

You could also consider using our CamerAlert app for iPhone or Android (if you have one).
That way you get the benefit of both accurate data from PGPSW and the directional alerts.

Or a device running any version of a NAVnGO (iGO) product. iGI8, iGO Primo etc. These give directional warnings. But if you are stuck with a TT, you don't get fully directional warnings.
