Maybe a version Issue Daren, I am using v6.0.1.2032 (beta) build date 12-10-2010 official download from site, I did double check my facts before last post.

It's in Google EARTH not maps. |
Not in mine it isn't.
I am using a Google Earth plugin for Google Maps if that makes any difference?
I see 3 dates in centre bottom and none of them are related to the date of the actual pictures.

Yes it makes a difference. I said it was in Google Earth because it's in Google Earth. Have you tried Google Earth? |

But you are forgetting the most important part of the use for it. And THEY do want to know what's in their way. The Burglar's Best Friend 
That's after they have checked out Street View of course

So if we sign up for this new service it will tell us when the photos have been updated and we can relocate the machine gun to a new area of the garden?
