I live overseas for three months at a time and have recently returned to UK. To update my GPS do I need to download the speed camera databases from when I left UK or if I download the latest database will it install the cumultative revisions? |

Hi chrisford,
As it's your first post, to the forum!
Every time that you download the PocketGPSWorld camera database it completely overwrites the previous version with the latest version so you don't need incremental updates.
You say that you live overseas, does your SatNav cover the area that you live in when not in the UK? Do you use the PocketGPSWorld camera database for your overseas location?

Thanks Robert
That will save me a lot of valuable time!
Although I have 5 Sat-Navs, I am only really interested in the one TomTom model I use each working day when I am picking up and delivering exotic cars (Porsche, Landrovers, lexus etc). I know most of them have their own GPS systems installed but I prefer to use my own. I also have a TomTom which is for use when I'm in Florida for 3 month periods and another which has UK and Australia maps. The 2 Garmins(my original purchases many years ago) are used rarely - the maps are out of date but I still upgrade the Speed camera databases occasionally.
I'll now download the latest database ready for work in the morning. Thanks again. Chris |

Don't forget we have data for the US and Australia. Your sub allows use on 3 devices and you may be in an ideal position to report cameras when out of country, many more opportunities to grab ones we don't have. _________________ Darren Griffin |
