Mapopolis voice in French ?

Hi there,

I would like to change Mapopolis voice file to French. The TALKEDIT program makes refernce to Mapopolis file MAPWORDS. BIN which can be edited to any language. I couldn't find this file on my IPAQ H2210.

Any help??

Unfortunaltely Mapopolis have decided to switch to a synthesized voice as of version 4.35 If you want to create a french voice then you will need to use version 4.33 or earlier. If you like I can send you the cab file.

The file I sent you does not contain the french voices. But you can use any voice syntesizer on the web to create your own. The process is decribed here (on GpsPasSsion) http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5038

Glad it works.

Yes the UI is a bit crude but I like the program a lot, it is the most flexible tool, especially when you are on the road and have forgotten to take some maps - you can load them over the air and continue routing. Maps are not very current, but whet they show is very accurate, including the house number locations - something that is very important in America, and is poorly implemented in other packages.
