Using laptop to browse POIs on Garmin 1695

Don't know about the Nuvi 360, but on my 3790t you can choose exactly what categories you want to put each Favourite in and choose which symbol you want out of 89. The trouble is that they play hide and seek with you on the map so it's very difficult to locate where one is in relation to any of the others.

As a complete newcomer to Garmin I was not aware that the Favorites and POIs were effectively the same as the POIs.

I now see that I can just open the gpx file in POIEdit and save as a Garmin cvs file.
