Go Live 1000 question (adding my POIs)

Hi I have just "upgraded" to the above but have discovered that I can't transfer my favourites or POI's from my existing Go model?

Is there any update on when this may be possible as my POI's in particular are vital for me.

TomTom 'promises' that custom poi support will be available in Q1 of 2011. If that holds true, you can also convert your favourites to a custom ov2 file and add that to the others you want to include on the 1000.

And we did warn you! It's been the subject of a very lengthy thread as soon as we were permitted to discuss it, mentioned in my full review of the GO 1000 and in our Newsletter.

So we're all playing a waiting game now to see what TomTom can pull out of the hat for Q1 2011.

Yes they have.
According to MaFt's report they will use ov2 and bmp, but are unlikely to provide .ogg audio support, at least initially.

I've just tried to complete a questionaire from TomTom received this morning. OK until I got to the section that wanted 5 reasons why I bought a TomTom instead of any other brand. I could only think of one which came out as "Other" and the other is that I bought a TomTom simply because the two new Garman 3790T I bought both had faults.

But the questionaire insisted on 5 reasons and so I had to abort the exercise.

Only thing going for Tom is the cable is not a stupid thickness and HD traffic is far superior. Maybe that is enough. I will see.

imagine if we did a survey like that?

Q: What do you think of the service PGPSW provides?

2) Wonderful
3) Super
4) Terrific

Then, when we publish the results, we could happily state that 100% of those surveyed said our survey was perfect, wonderful, super or terrific!

If you can't customise your TT1000 at this present time, then how will you able to do this in the future?
How will TT let you add your own POI and PGPSW speed cameras - will they release a software fix or what?
