Hi Mike
I have V1.5 Tom Tom app and I have rebooted the i phone - still no joy
I have even jailbroken my iphone usind redsnow tethered still no joy.
I have done a full restore from itunes to 4.2.1 and re installed the tom tom app still no joy??
I have used your downloaded PNG OGG and OV2 files in the map folder and your downloaded mapsettings.cfg file - no joy,
I currently have re installed all the OV2 PNG (renamed bmp files) and OGG (Lizcomplete including pmobile alerts) into my map folder.
It has to be the mapsettings.cfg file either corrupted or in the wrong format I guess...
Can you send me another working set of files copied from someone's iphone with the speed alerts configured correctly??
I have put CamerAlert on my iphone can I use this on my iphone nav in the background and if so will the voice alerts prompt the alert icons showing in tomtom accuratley (are the camalert and pgpsw database the same) ?
Many thanks for your patience

I had the same problem myself and spent days trying to sort it. It turned out I'd downloaded the wrong zip file, there is 2 tom-tom zip files I downloaded the other one followed the instructions and now everything is working perfectly |

The download you receive from the link contains the following:
mapsettings.cfg
All required icons renamed as required
All ogg Vorbis camera warning sounds (Liz Whitaker)
You also need to download the PocketGPSWorld Speed camera database in TomTom ov2 format (speed zoned), the ov2 files ONLY from this download are required to be used in addition to the files supplied with the download in para one.
I will take another look at the instructions I wrote with a view to simplify them over the Christmas period as there is clearly some confusion about how to do this and its certainly not "Black Magic" as was mentioned in another thread recently!
Note the current download will only only work with the current TomTom iPhone app (v1,6) if you are running an earlier version than this then it simply won't work, I have added this in case Tim2985 is still following the thread as since his last post TomTom have released a new app, the files in the download now support v1,6 - Mike |
