Oh, of course. Another in their current series of successful fixes. My irritation stems from the reports that HD traffic on 100x models is good. That is the strongest selling point for me, but the rest of the reports are discouraging. They had something potentially good here. I'd have accepted some reduction in functionality to get reliable, fast HD. But they are asking too much - and also to take it on trust that it will improve. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

"Will"?? TomTom have promised an update but any more than that is speculation at present. Let's see what transpires when/if it arrives _________________ Darren Griffin |

The last time I recall TT promising something for Q1 was some years ago and it slipped to Q2 (unannounced, merely edited on the web page), then after some time became Q3.
Bear in mind that Q1 runs until 31st March, you can't complain for nearly another 4 months. _________________ Dennis

The last MAJOR promise that turned in to "porkies" was the HD Traffic receiver for the x20/ x30 product range, in the end it was released but only in Holland and with no roaming capability.
It was useless for owners in the UK that purchased any of these units expecting a decent Traffic service, purchases that might have been based upon the promise of extended capability when available.
In the end I suspect network access agreements took far longer than anticipated so the x20/ x30 HD Traffic accessory was nothing more than an extended Beta test in one specific country.
Unless the capability you need from a device is available from the day of purchase I wouldn't touch it.
The current "MyTomTom" capability isn't even something I would consider at Alpha test phase let alone Beta, to release it to the public with a device 100% dependent upon it simply doesn't make sense. The missing functionality is crippling the hardware from being what I would consider useable, this applies to the 1000, 1005 and VIA devices which all require the "services" provided (sic) by "MyTomTom" - Mike |

When I bought my 740, TomTom said they expected to have HDTraffic for it in North America by the end of the year. . .
That was LAST year. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

Ok. What I meant was if/when a "fix" arrives it'll be in the form of an update from TomTom. Basically just trying to say TomTom will provide the fix not PGPSW. |
