what GPS recieber do i use

hi recently upgraded to tom tom 3 on my medion (40600) but what gps reciver do i use?? as it is a royaltech reciver that came with it and it doesnt show that in the menu. is this the problem as when i drive past a street i have already past it before it shows my position on the gps. there is about a 3 second delay on it how do i cure this problem????

if its the tomtom reciever either tomtom wireless gps if bt
if it the one that came with the medion try a bt serch or may winfast navigator from the downloads area
