I bought a "refurbished" Garmin 1310 on 27th Oct,following the theft of my reliable Nuvi 300 from a locked glove-box,from Amazon it died on 5th November and would not power up from the switch.Garmin support said return it to Amazon for replacement as garmin repairs are taking 3-weeks.Idid the return request to Amazon same day and asked for a replacement,delivery due Mon 8 Nov.Then I read in the Garmin 1640 review,here in PocketGPSworld,about problems with Nuvi keyboard being difficult and requiring "finger-nail clicks" to input post-code etc.I experienced the same issue on the 1310,so i followed the reviewers fix to re-calibrate the screen an by picking the unit up by top l/h screen corner the unit powered-up.I recalibrated the screen by chasing the dots all seemed ok.Next day switched on the unit keyboard froze then next attempt I broke the glass.First impressions are not good.
