Happy to report that we have found a (surprisingly simple) workaround for that well known iOS bug. The fix will be in the next build.

Careful, if you admit it is well known the next question will be 'why did we miss it?' Wink

cos it's a bug with iOS and not our app :D Apple should actually fix it themselves instead of Lutz having to apply (surprisingly simple) workarounds...!

Very Happy

Just updated the app and having trouble with the display. Appears upside down and a right devil to get it to appear the right way! Anyone else having problems? This happened a while ago when the app first came out.

Doug

Turn off the HUD option in settings.

This is on an IPhone 4 running 4.2.1 and not jailbroken. Sorry about the double post! 

Is it upside down or upside down and reversed (mirror image)?

Sorry guys, yes it was upside down and back to front! Turned off HUD and okay! Is this a normal mistake or is it just me? 

Ummmm Wink

It would only rotate and flip with HUD on if you use it laying down, shouldn't flip when vertical?

It probably was flat Darren! Sorry about causing a flap there, the HUD display must have been on by default as I never even knew it was there.
Old and confused, back in the old folks home soon! 

Using V1.2.1 this morning I noticed that I was receiving alerts for 'mobile' cameras and 'possible mobile' cameras even though these two categories were unticked in the camera warnings setup.

I tried ticking and unticking them again, in case it was some sort of data issue caused by the software update, but still getting warnings for all cameras, whether they are ticked or not?

(iphone 4 running OS 4.2.1)

Do you mean the spoken warnings/alerts or just that they show up in the list?

....Both

I was expecting to just see the map displayed, but I had the red bar pop up at the bottom of the screen, along with the spoken (short form) warnings.

tried this again on the way home, and this time unticked all camer types, but still got both the visual and sound warnings for all cameras (fixed, red light, mobile, poss mobile, and average).

Also noticed that the shortened female voice for 'average fifty' needs a little bit of fine editing - you can just start to hear the 's' of 'speed' from the full lenght warning. So it comes out as "average ss fifty"

Looks like a bug that was introduced by the iPad 4.2 version. Fixed now, will include in the next beta. Curious that nobody else noticed...
