Hi everybody,

(I new to this forum so please forgive any questions posted already ;-))

I just have the latest version of mapsonic on my Sony Clié UX50 which connects via a new SysonGPS Bluetooth GPS.

But after about 5 minutes Mapsonic asks for the BT GPS, finds it, shows the posizion and asks for the GPS again.
It does so every 10 seconds or so.

The blue light keeps on flashing on the GPS, until it connects. Some seconds later the Sony or Mapsonic is asking again.

BTW with my Sony/Ericsson P800 (Powernavigator) the bluetooth connection stays online. As well as with my MAC.

BT connection from Clié UX50 to Mac or P800 are also stable. So I think it's Mapsonic which does the problem?

Any help is appreciated.
Thx

Try a GPS utility like WinFast Navigator to see if the same effect occurs. If not then indeed Mapsonic would be to blame.

According to a French PALM site the problem is MAPSONIC. Several CLIEs do have problems with Bluetoothn and Mapsonic.

Michelin (producer of Mapsonic) is aware of the problem and are trying to solve it.

Also in that thread are informations about a new version of Mapsonic which has much more advanced features very much like TOMTOM Navigator.
