Offered a Garmin update but no idea what it is

I've subscribed to Garmin updates for my new 1490T. Yesterday an email offering this "Panel Cut-out DXF 1.00 (October 20, 2010)" arrived. Anyone of you experts know what one of those is? Is it relevant?

Garmin website suggests it something to do with designing something in AutoCAD. See here

Some sort of template for something? Can you customise the display or the unit in any way?

It appears to be for designing panels for fitting sat Nav into vehicles such as planes! See here
