TT940 vs iPhone App and PGSW Cameralert

Hi,

I have aTT940 and use PGPSW database, I also purchased the camaralert app as well for the iphone 4.

I see that TT sell the nav software for the Iphone 4, would I be able to use that and the PGPSW cam alert at the same time to enable alerts like I get on the TT940?

Also can someone tell me what i will be losing by changing to the iphone TT Software if anything over using 2 separate devices as I do now with the iphone for calls and the TT940 for Nav duties?

Hi,

As you can see by my signature I have the same devices.
You can run the TT app and Cameralert at the same time on the iPhone, it's your choice as to which one is in the foreground so to speak. You cannot import POIs to the iPhone TT app hence I still use my 940 in tandem.

I tend to have my 940 on for navigation with the PGPSW cameras on visual only (I did think about setting a different warning & distance to supplement Cameralert), then I use the iPhone for calls and Cameralert in the foreground, sometimes using the iPod function. I normally would link this via an audio cable to my DAB / FM transmitter which then transmits it to my car stereo.
