No one... I'm on a diet!
If I do have a sweet it's a mint! Everton, Murray or Butter, so easily unwrappable! _________________ Be alert.. This country needs more lerts. |

I agree,
I had my TomTom 700 installed in my car, the very same day I met Mrs MPW. ( fate or what )
Can say we have never argued once in the car ( well not about being lost at least! ) _________________ TomTom 700 GO user since Dec 2005.

I used to enjoy the scenic routes when my wife was navigating:
Me: There's a roundabout coming up.
Wife: You want the A10
Me: Ok, left or right, 1st exit or 3rd?
Wife: Don't know.
Me: What town should I be heading towards?
Wife: I can't see any towns on that road. There is a river.
Me: It's ok I've taken the first exit.

Yes without doubt SatNavs save marriages, relationships, your sanity and your life
We regularly travel around Europe as we regularly travel to Slovakia to see the in-laws etc.
My wife’s ability to read a map and navigate roads is completely non existent.
She can’t follow a road for half a mile before admitting she’s lost (this has happened several times).
This has lead to many arguments and screaming matches and she usually wins
So as you can imagine having a SatNav when crossing Europe (anywhere in fact) is absolutely essential for my families’ sanity.
I’ve driven the route to Slovakia many times without any major problems.
As new roads open so the route may change a little and I may miss the odd turning on a messy junction etc but nothing a few extra miles can’t sort out.
However, on our last few trips me wife has taken to arguing with the TomTom’s route and made me take an alternative routes.
This from a person with absolutely no sense of direction whatsoever
On most occasions this results in us ending up in the middle of nowhere at a dead end or taking the most dangerous route on the worlds crappiest roads!
This is not funny when you’re in Poland, it drops below -20, the snow is 3 metres deep at the side of the road and you’re currently in a whiteout.
But she’s done it
During our last long driving trip we made a new rule; my wife is to never to contradict anything that the TomTom says.
Not ever, ever, ever!
Besides the nice lady on my 910 sound much nicer then my wife shrieking at me
Still she can’t help but tuting and pointing erratically at the screen, but we just ignore her and she soon falls asleep
Strangely my wife’s sister is a long distance European lorry driver who is a brilliant map reader/navigator.
She must have received all my wife’s map reading genes too _________________ 🔸🔸 Currently using TomTom GO 940 & Locus Map 🔸🔸 |
