Is anyone else experiencing very slow response from the Potlatch editor recently?
I have uploaded some GPX traces but when I try to edit them the editor is so slow that it is almost impossible to use. It displays "loading data" in the top right hand corner for ages, it has just taken six minutes to display a screen at zoom level 17 that only has sixteen road segments on it! _________________ Paul |

not been able to edit all week.. which is a shame as last week i added 30 miles of local roads but i inadvertantly copied a road name to a few of the roads...
might need to give the 'offline' mode a try.

I downloaded an ran JOSM last night for the first time. Data is loaded almost instantly. I find that strange as I would expect that Potlatch and JOSM are both receiving data from the same source.
I didn't actually make any changes with JOSM as it's a rather different beast to Potlatch and will need a bit of practice before I can be confident that I am not downgrading the quality of the mapping with my changes. _________________ Paul |

The Potlatch editor is working at a sensible speed tonight. Viewing the map is another matter altogether! _________________ Paul |
