now im up and running im thinking of getting the RDS-TMC receiver. i would prefer one of the all in one docking mounts http://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/products/accessories/mounts-holders-docks/active-dock-traffic-rds-tmc-with-ipod-support/ but i notice this one does not support the 930
any ideas if there is a all in one mount for the 930 and i just cant find it after much searching.
thanks for all your continued help.

Have a look at Carcomm as they make a few suitable holders, try This One for starters - Mike

thanks Mike. that would be perfect but it hasnt got the built in rds-tmc built into the cradle like the one i posted.
just found the original aerial at argos for £31.99 but only 1 left.arghh decissions decissions.

i see theres 2 versions available. original has the oblong box that plugs straight into 930. the other has a rounded box that plugs into ciggy lighter and 930.
is there much difference between them.

There is quite a big difference between the two items:

The one from Argos will work with a 930

The one from Halfords will NOT work with a 930 (well its not intended to work with it, even if you manage to hack it in order to get it working, which is possible there is no way of knowing it will work all the time with the 930)

There is no mount for the x20/ x30 that has a built in RDS receiver, the Carcomm unit I linked to earlier simply lets you connect a receiver to it - Mike

9v00.101 or 2v00.017

had a read through this old thread back from 2007 but they are also different numbers http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=56106&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=330

The part number in my signature is the tag on the antenna of my usb version, which I believe is the latest version. I recall previous discussions were it was found that the box that the antenna comes in has its own part number, and this is the one that the salesperson seems to be confusing. I got mine by ordering from the amazon website where the picture showed a usb connection......

is this the same one that jonial is offering for sale above as id rather get one that is gauranteed to work (depending on radio station coverage).
cheers
