Can I swap map on SD Card between machines?

I have a Go 920T with North America map on 4gb SD card.

Daughter has bought a Go 630.

If I transferred the files onto a 2GB SD ( max size for the 630 ) will the map work in her TT?

The alternative is that she takes my TT on her hols ( and you know what kids are like!! )

If there is some licensing issue, what, hypothetically, would the position be if I owned the 630 and simply wanted to use my NA map in that.

Most maps are locked to the device the map is registered to, this prevents the transfer of maps between devices.
There have been some maps sold by TomTom pre-installed to memory cards, these maps are locked to the memory card and therefore can be transfered between devices. To be honest the easy option is let her borrow your device for the trip - Mike

From memory I think I had to down load the map from TT when I bought the 920. I certainly do not have any maps pre installed to SD Card. I have an 'out of the box' back up on disk but that is about it.
