Hiya everyone, i bought a tomtom 550 live like other's it stopped working (live services) when i logged into tomtom home. I fired off a email to tomtom then decided to phone them, i spoke to a fantastic guy called Joseph who dealt with my issue quickly and effectively, he was proffesional and honest in saying it could take a day or so to fix. Less than 20 minutes later my phone rang he asked me to do a reboot and hey presto live is working again, i can't compliment tomtom highly enough.
For other's who are suffering similar issue's don't panic, phone tomtom and be near your satnav and computer ready for instruction's. It can and will be sorted, tomtom are aware of these issues.

It didn't work on my 750 live, it has been referred to 2nd level support, here's hoping for a speedy resolution. |

Just to confirm, the rest of my live services work, it is just the traffic that is unoperational. |

I thought navcore 9 was the base one for the x50. If that is the case, how can they roll it back to navcore 8?
I am now over 24 hours since my first contact with tomtom about this, we are going away when the Summer Holidays start on Saturday, so i hope it is sorted soon. |

That message was about the x40 models Matt.
I don't think there have been any reported instances of the "Something wrong with your SIM card" issue on the x50's (yet?).
Apart from the problems this OP was having, there have been a couple of reports of just the HD Traffic stopping working, but I think those are a different issue related to subscriptions rather then the software-SIM card problem. |
