|
|
Hi everyone. I have been at this since 0600 this morning :-(
My map was showing 2 out of date so I decided to take TT up on their offer of the 6 months extra free map update service @ £51.-- to update and for a further 18months updates.
All was well with my old map, no problems at all.
Once I updated it through home (after making a complete explorer backup) the only locations I can choose are GB, Ukraine & Vatican City?
I restored the whole thing (explorer) and it was all there again on my old map France, Ireland, Spain etc.
I thought maybe home had downloaded a corrupt map so I went in to My docs-Tomtom file and moved the map from there and renamed it.
I have just gone through it all again (downloaded a fresh copy) and it has come up with the same problem?
Any ideas? Thanks. |

You don't say what you are doing when you only get the selection of 3!
If it is the Select Country menu, there should be a down pointing arrow head (in a grey box), besides the Names. Tap that and they should all display. _________________ Richard

I am in the middle of a third attempt!

Does your list of countries say GB, as in your first post, or UK? If it is UK, then it strikes me that the three countries you are seeing are at the very end of the alphabet, and probably the last ones in the European list.
There must be a way of scrolling up the list that you can't find? _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

Thanks for the reply.
I tried downloading the map again last night and it comes up with 'error - server timed out' but the map seems to be downloaded in my docs-tomtom folder?
I run the 'update my device' again, it then seems to through the update procedure but again I only have the 3 countries available?
Has anyone else had any problems downloading from TT's web site?
Thanks again for the help. |

Navigate through the menu:-
Browse Map, Find, Addres, City Centre.
Now click on the Union Jack
Click on the down arrow
You should now see some other countries above United Kingdom.
Click up until you get where you want

I get problems downloading from TomTom if I am using WiFi. For anything serious I always try to use a cable connection. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
