Any clues as to how I can fix an annoyance appreciated.

On my Vista lapotop I have some old POI files in POI Edit which it won't let me send straight to my TT720 as it's looking for Windows active sync, which VISTA isn't compatible with.
It has the newer Windows Mobile Device s/ware.

I hoped I could achieve via windows copy & paste, but when I click on one of my poi folders I get no option to paste.
I checked that I could paste same content to a Wordpad file, and then it pastes OK, but can't paste where I want Rolling Eyes .

can you save them to a folder on your hard drive and then copy from the hard drive to the tomtom?

i'm not 100% i follow what you are trying to do though...!

Tks; these are POI's from my TT that were exported into POI edit when I had XP.

They are no longer on my TT following various repairs, so wanted to copy back.
Should be a piece of Censored with POI edit but not with Vista.

I assumed that I'd need to create new category folder in my TT POI's
to paste into ( via my TT), rather than drop a folder off my desktop via Windows, straight into POI main folder.

Will try later though MaFt

On my Win7 machines, I often come across non highlighted paste option. In each case, Ctrl + V always paste it for me.

I'm not sure what you are doing at all to be honest. Sad POIEdit has nothing to do with moving POI files around - it just edits them and saves the results. Confused

In you TT backup on your PC, you should have the .ov2 (and .bmp) files for the POI sets in the same folder as the map data. These just need copying across to your new TT in the same folder as the map data there.

When you connect your TT, you should be able to open it with Windows Explorer and see the folders within etc. It should just be a copy & paste from the folder on your PC to the folder on the TT.

You don't need to use POIEdit, any sync systems or "POI folder" whatever that is. Confused

In your title you say CSV files. TomTom POIs are OV2, so copying CSV files onto the TT is pointless.

Presumably POIEdit will open the bunch of CSV files and save them as OV2 which should then copy/paste to the TT map folder.
