Hi,
I was going to update details of a few cameras in Poland which I verified on my recent trip but came across a few pieces of information which are unclear.
1. Speed cameras in Poland look similar to Gatsos and also flash visible light but unlike Gatsos are front facing (at least these I have seen). So how do I log them? Beginners guide mentions Continental types but I can't choose it from the list of types.
2. Apparently I can get a lifetime subscription if I submit or amend camera details without having current subscription. But when I go to camera subscription page it says "YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY SUBSCRIBED
You can make submissions but you will not qualify for the free lifetime award." even if I choose Poland. So how does it work? I tried to amend details of one camera among a few others with very limited informaiton on them. I've just checked and details for this camera are now displayed as I submitted them (apart from camera direction for some reason) but no change to my subscription status.
Could somebody please shed some light on this. |

can you log them as 'Truvelo (front facing)'

yes - for qualifying non-UK camera submissions you do not need to be a subscribed member.

Your submissions would still need to be checked and approved by a human (or MaFt anyway ) |

A quick Search would tell you....
On THIS PAGE, it explains it:
Quote: | The PocketGPSWorld.com Safety Camera database has earned a deserved reputation for accuracy in the five years it has been running and it is widely regarded as the most used, most trusted and best available in the UK.
A subscription to our database gives you access to safety camera data for a total of 38 countries world-wide including Europe, the US, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and a few more besides.
However, we recognise that our database is not as complete in some countries as it is here in the UK and we won't rest until that imbalance has been addressed. So, in an effort to bring our quality database to as many users as possible in every country plagued by safety cameras we are today announcing a new Lifetime Subscriber award offer.
As of today, for qualifying reports of cameras outside the UK, non-subscribers will also now be eligible for Lifetime Membership. This means that there is now more opportunity than ever before to earn yourself lifetime access to our safety camera database for FREE!. Everyone who ventures into Europe with their car, caravan or motorhome, or who hires a car on holiday anywhere in the world can now get spotting and earn their reward. |

I searched for "free lifetime subscription for non members".
None of the top ten answers linked to that page. |

There's a black art to getting the results you want from website and forum search engines.....
I used the term "non-uk", whilst trying to help....
In this case, as it was announced by MaFt, restricting your search to posts by him may also have helped. |
