I have just changed to TT7 from TT6 and the How Too`s look the same as to puting the database ov2 files into the map file. This I have done and my problem is how do I set the POI`s up to see the OV2 files and do I set up the BMP Files as icons on TT7 ?
Had a go at making a POI`s for pocketgps_uk_gatso, red lights etc using the PktGPS file names but you have use the pre set icons when I was wanting to use the BMP ones? After all that it tells me that I dont have any POI`s on my device.

According to the instructions on the compatibility table here it's the same method as TT6...

Setting up the warnings for POI's is exactly the same for TTN6 & 7, I don't quite follow what you are trying to do though as you don't have to make anything as all the required files are available from this web site:

The bmp file is the icon
The ov2 file contains the location data
If required the OGG file is the spoken audio alert.

With all the files in the map folder simply use Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn when near POI and select each PocketGPSWorld Speed Camera icon and configure it for use by setting the distance (x10 rule is handy so a 30MPH camera is 300 yards, a 70MPH camera is 700 yards) - Mike

Thanks for the reply but my problem it that having used the database with TT6 I understand what ov2 and bmp files are and what I am to do with them its just that I am doing exactly the same but when I go to Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn when near POI no PocketGPSWorld Speed Camera icons show up to set up.This is why I asked the question .Wonder if TT have done somthing to make you use TT Homes data base and not the pktgps one?

As long as you have put the POI files in to the Western_Europe or UK&ROI map folder the POI files should show up, the other main issue I have seen is when you have too many custom POI files in a single map folder, there is a limit of 100 custom POI categories when using TTN7 - Count up how many ov2 files you have in the map folder - Mike

Only have the 4 ov2 Files for the uk gatso red light etc so should work?
Have taken them out of the map file and installed just the redlight files but still no joy. Then took TTom off and re installed but it is now telling me that my activation code is wrong. Have sent an email to TT as its only 2 days old so we will have to wait till Monday now as support only work in the week. Have had TT since it first came out but this is the first time that I have had a problem.

Now all ok.
Had an update map from TT and now when I go to the POI menus all are working. Now that all is working I have noticed that some of the POi icons had been greyed out on the duff map that came with my card from TT. Did not expect a reply from them till monday as on the suport page Mon to Fri daytime is the only time you can call them but they must have email support running 24/7. Thanks again for you help.
