I have just acquired the TomTom xxl ,and there seems to be little space left on the hard drive for pocketworld speed cams and ogg files.. I had no problems in the past with the 300 as this had an additional sd card for more files.What is the procedure on the XXL and where should the speed cams go on the disc?

Although most TomTom's these days are incredibly tight on space, I wouldn't have thought you'd have problems fitting the camera and warning files on - the whole package is less than 1.5MB (e.g. Speedzoned cameras - 662 KB, and Vicky speedzoned voice - 827 KB)

If you really ARE short on space, you can remove any foreign voices (or English ones you don't need) or another good candidate is the "raster" folder" which just has the fairly pointless satellite images you see if you zoom RIGHT out on the map.

Installation of the files is just the same as any other TomTom.... The .ov2 camera files have to go in the named map folder ("Western Europe", "Great Britain" etc.). Install instructions are HERE (or HERE if you have a "text to speech" model but I don't think they are available in the UK).

The voice warning files (in .ogg format) either go in the map folder or in the "sounds" folder. Both methods are described on THIS PAGE (near the bottom). It's your preference which method you choose.
