Hi,

I am a newbie to this group but have a question for you guys.
I own the NAVMAN 3000 jacket and i understand that the 3450 is the far superior model. I know that there is no firmware upgrade to get it to the 3450 criterion. But....... the 3450 has a military style antenna. Correct???

Can the NAVMAN 3000 be modded to the NAVMAN 3450.

No and no, in that order, I'm afraid. The 3450 (Navman SE) sleeve has a military spec. timing chip which they claim increases stability and reduces startup times. It also has an external antenna socket (MCX) which means that you can use a remote antenna for better reception.
