I have these 2 files on my TomTom one xl

Uk_and_IE_plus Major _roads_of_WE

United _Kingdom_and_Repuplic_of_Ireland

Using Uk & Ireland do I need to delete the other one?

Thanks

Colin

If you don't need the extra free space that deleting a map would provide I would leave it alone as its not doing any harm just sitting there.
If you do decide to delete it make sure you have a copy of the maps on your computer, this way you could always re-install the other map - Mike

Just a couple of thoughts...

Don't forget there's a big difference between FILES and FOLDERS, I would think the two things you're referring to are folders, which can contain tens or hundreds of different files....

Before you delete one or the other map folder, you should check which map is the newest.

To do that, tap the signal strength bars on screen then tap the little box that says "version" on the next screen.
On the following screen of text it will show you the name and version number of the map in use.
Exit that page, swap maps (using Manage maps/Switch map in the TomTom's preferences menu) and then do the same thing again.

Might be worth noting down the two names and numbers and posting them here.

Also, you should be aware that one of your maps includes tha major roads of Europe and the other one doesn't. From what you say, you are currently using the one that doesn't.....
